A small apartment on the Kingston Foreshore was transformed to meet the dynamic needs of a young family, with Asmbl at the helm of this reconfiguration journey.
The design, envisioned by Architect Tynan Freeman, aimed to retain the apartment's inner-city amenity while adapting to new lifestyle changes. The unique layout, with its extensive glazing and natural light, set the stage for a creative reimagining.
Our team at Asmbl brought Freeman's vision to life through expert craftsmanship and innovative joinery solutions. Following Tynan’s design, we introduced three sculptural joinery compositions, each one skilfully designed to blend with the apartment's original structure.
These joinery pieces were more than mere storage; they were carefully constructed to redefine the space's geometry and functionality. Asmbl's bespoke approach ensured that each unit provided a mix of general and client-specific storage options, harmonizing with the family’s daily life and aesthetic preferences.
The Asmbl team focused on enhancing the apartment’s accessibility, functionality, and overall aesthetics, while preserving its airy and light-filled environment. The joinery work was not only functional but also added a distinct elegance to the space, demonstrating our commitment to combining practicality with style.
